Verruca pedis (plantar wart)
Verruca pedis is also known as plantar warts. It is one of the most common dermatological infections of the skin. It is caused by direct exposure of human papilloma virus (HPV) to the epidermis through small blisters/abrasions on the bottom of the foot. It is a contagious condition and the virus is commonly picked up from public environments such as public swimming pools or public showers.
